The 12th International Conference on Transport Survey Methods will be held in Hotel Golf Mar in Porto Novo beach located 67 km northwest of Lisbon.
Access to the Conference Venue
There is no direct bus service to reach the site (there are bus services between Lisbon and Torres Vedras, and then you would have to take a taxi, or you could take a taxi directly from Lisbon. Estimated price should be around 70 €). Shuttle buses are provided for your convenience, on Sunday and Friday.
Sunday Buses
On Sunday, March 20th, four buses will depart from the Humberto Delgado International Airport. Departure at 13h30 (1:30PM), 16h00 (4:00PM), 18h30 (6:30PM) and 21h00 (9:00PM). Travel time is around 1 hour.
If you arrive before Sunday, you should come to the airport, metro will be the easiest way, or you could take a taxi (from any place inside Lisbon it should be less than 10 euros) and then take the first (1:30 PM) bus.
At the airport, volunteers with white t-shirts with the conference logo will greet you. The meeting point is at the entrance of the Metro Station in the arrivals. Due to COVID restrictions will be very difficult to wait inside. The volunteers will then escort you to the bus. If the bus is full, you will have to wait for the next one (sorry!).
Friday Buses
On Friday, March 25th, buses will depart at 9:40, 12:00; 14:00 and 14:30. An additional bus is provided on Saturday morning, for those staying on Friday night.
Car Access
If you come by car, the hotel provides free parking for guests. Please enter “Hotel Golfmar” in Google Maps for directions.
Conference Dinner
The Gala Dinner will be at Quinta do Sanguinhal. This estate holds one of the oldest distilleries in the region, with beautiful column copper alembic stills, and old granite cellars with wood and granite screw presses, one of which dating from 1871.
